All games on Sunday Feb 7 have been canceled due to the snow emergency.

Welcome to the Western Howard County Youth Basketball website. We offer both recreational and travel basketball for girls and boys ages 6 thru 17. Currently in our 29th year of operation, we serve approximately 2,000 youngsters in the Howard County area.

Registration
Registration for the 2009-2010 recreational program remains open, but many age groups are full, hence new registrants may be placed on the waiting list. Click on the Registration link at top of this page for instructions.

Player evaluations
In order to promote evenly-balanced teams, all Recreational Program players will have a skills evaluation in mid-October. The schedules for the evaluations will be posted on this site in early October.

Travel teams
Travel Program tryouts will begin in early September. Check this site in late August for dates and times. For more information about travel teams, click the Travel Program link at the top of this page.

Weather Cancellations
In the event of snow, call the Howard County Inclement Weather Hotline, 410-313-6827, to find out if the schools have been closed. Note that school activities may be cancelled but unless the message says that community activities are also cancelled, our basketball events WILL be held.
